  • Why Is Kvareli Lake Resort the Best Hotel in Kakheti?
    01 September 2026

Planning a getaway often comes with added stress, since you have to choose between a good spa, great cuisine, and a peaceful location. Kvareli Lake Resort solves this dilemma with ease — it's a multifunctional hotel in Kakheti where every one of these elements comes together in one place.

Our premium-class Kvareli Lake hotel currently offers guests 100 modern rooms, split between two buildings — a Georgian wing and a European wing. This division lets us cater precisely to each guest's individual taste. A stay with us is a carefully considered experience, where the staff looks after your mood and the surroundings naturally guide you toward complete relaxation.

Kvareli Lake Hotel and Comfort in Detail: Choose the Room That Suits You

When designing the interior of our rooms, our main priority was functional aesthetics — a space with nothing superfluous, where everything serves the guest's comfort. We focused on the sensations created by the interior's textures and lighting. We chose to avoid cluttered decor in favor of natural tones that are easy on the eye and let you find inner calm in the very landscape that serves as our resort's signature calling card.

Comfort often comes down to small details that go unnoticed at first glance but are felt instantly — a pleasantly warm floor, complete sound insulation, and proper air circulation, all of which make staying in the room even more enjoyable. We believe a high-end hotel in Kakheti should give guests complete freedom, including the freedom to adjust the room's temperature or lighting to match their mood without any extra effort.

That said, the true value of any room lies in the view from its balcony. Stepping out onto the terrace, the Caucasus ridge or the calm of the lake gives the room an airiness and scale that no design, however expensive, could ever create. What's more, Kvareli Lake Hotel lets you choose not just a room, but the view and setting that will be the very first thing you see each morning as you wake up.

The Culinary Experience: Kakhetian Traditions and Contemporary Cuisine

After the views, the second main reason people come here is, of course, the food. For us, gastronomy is an opportunity to rediscover authentic flavors and taste products that reach your table straight from local farms.

Wine culture is also an inseparable part of this place, and our collection reflects the region's diversity. If your idea of the perfect hotel in Kakheti means combining great wine with panoramic views, then our setting will give you exactly what you're looking for.

This experience is rounded out by our diverse restaurant concept, where every space has its own character — from traditional Georgian cuisine to contemporary European dishes. Our chefs follow a simple principle: the flavor must be authentic, and the presentation refined. Ultimately, it's this balance that creates the atmosphere guests keep coming back for.

Entertainment and Adventures: How to Make Every Day Memorable

Several kilometers of walking and cycling trails throughout the resort grounds let you change the pace of your stay at any time of day and see Kakheti's landscapes from different angles. This space is for those who find peace through movement and fresh air. Walking here is a rare chance to spend time in complete quiet, against the backdrop of the Caucasus ridge and lake views.

Beyond the walking and cycling trails, the resort offers guests a wide range of water sports. On the lake, you can go out by motorboat, pedal boat, or simply row a boat. Every activity is organized so that safety always comes first, while the experience itself remains unforgettable.

At the same time, for those drawn to movement and competitive spirit, our on-site padel courts open up even more possibilities. The choice is always yours — spend the day on friendly tournaments, or choose completely passive relaxation instead. Kvareli Lake Resort gives you exactly that freedom: to be as active as you want at any given moment, without any unnecessary effort.

Discover Kakheti's History: Interesting Sites Near the Resort

Kvareli Lake Hotel is the ideal base for those who want to combine relaxation with getting to know the region's cultural heritage. Just a few minutes' drive from the hotel lies the Nekresi monastery complex, one of Kakheti's oldest and most significant historical monuments.

Another essential stop on this route is Gremi Fortress. The complex is especially striking for its Church of the Archangels and the surviving architectural details, which clearly show the scale of the site's political and cultural significance in its time. A visit here is often one of the most memorable parts of the trip for those exploring the region's historical context.

Besides Nekresi and Gremi Fortress, another important site near the resort is the Ilia Chavchavadze Museum, just a few kilometers away. This place introduces guests not only to the life and work of one of Georgia's greatest public figures, but also helps them better understand the region's cultural and educational role in the country's history.

You can round off your excursion in the local villages and small historic churches, which see fewer tourists and have preserved their original, authentic character in full. Traveling to places like these lets you see Kakheti's everyday life and historical roots up close. It's exactly this layered experience that adds extra value to choosing Kvareli Lake Resort — here, the highest level of comfort and the region's cultural layers meet naturally.

Hotel in Kakheti: Create Your Best Memories Here

Our main goal is for guests to leave carrying with them an inner lightness — a sense of calm that stays with them through work and everyday routine long after they've left. This feeling is often the deciding reason our guests plan to return. They want to rediscover that emotional charge that is born only in this particular setting.

The foundation of this experience is that everything you need for a complete escape is already around you. The setting is arranged so you no longer have to search for anything or plan ahead. It's exactly this simplicity that creates a tangible sense of comfort from day one and fully frees you from the hidden tension that constantly accompanies organizing a trip.

Ultimately, a stay like this stays in your memory as an emotional resource. For us, every visit is a new story, one we always write together with you with the greatest sense of responsibility.

For more information, call us and plan your visit at a time that suits you.

Everything was 10/10. We had an amazing stay with friends. The room was spotless, the views were beautiful, and the pool, sauna, and restaurants were excellent. The food, including breakfast, was delicious with plenty of choice, and the staff were friendly and professional. One of the best hotels in Georgia—I highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway.

Very atmospheric and incredibly cozy, stylish hotel. The food is delicious, the breakfasts are from 8 to 11, European, but there are also local local products in the buffet. It feels like you're relaxing here alone. When it's cool, a fireplace is lit — and immediately a pleasant smoky aroma of firewood. Free bicycles, catamarans. Very well maintained territory

A fully serviced luxury getaway close to Tbilisi that's worth the splurge. The secure estate features a scenic lake, stunning mountain views, and a peaceful car-free setting with electric carts and bikes. The European restaurant offers a nice break from Georgian cuisine, and the forest-side padel court is a great surprise. Service is good, though a bit formulaic. If taking a local taxi back to the city or airport, bring cash. Great Georgian experience.

We came for two nights and ended up leaving after 15 ☺️ what a beautiful vacation, what a fantastic location, what a fabulous team onboard, all faces we were happy to meet every day. In the beautiful corners, gardens, trails (and ofc spa) we could focus, relax and end 2025 in the best possible conditions, and arrived home recharged and happier. Thanks Kvareli team, all of you out there.

The best hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything—from the location and stunning views to the beautiful interior—made our stay truly unforgettable. The hotel is exceptionally clean, and the pool and saunas are absolutely amazing, creating the perfect space to relax and unwind. The staff deserves special recognition for their professionalism and kindness. From the reception team—Mariami, Levani, and Giorgi—to Giorgi from the European restaurant, everyone was attentive, welcoming, and always ready to help. Unfortunately, I did not manage to remember all the staff members’ names, but every single person we interacted with was genuinely warm and truly understands what excellent service means. You can clearly see that the management puts great effort into training and supporting their team. The food was another highlight. Breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner, was very, very delicious. The combination of European and Georgian cuisine offers a wide variety of choices, making it comfortable and enjoyable for everyone to find something they love. Overall, this hotel exceeded all expectations and made our time with friends truly special. I would highly recommend it and would gladly return again.
